LOL I don't know what I was thinking when I made this animation. It actually got started as just a toon shading exercise, and then I thought it actually looks like an animated painting. ;p

Thanks! My dictionary claims they are called "Cherub". Take a look below: :)

cher·ub [chérrəb] (plural cher·ubs) noun.
depiction of angel: an angel depicted as a chubby-faced child with wings, sometimes simply as a child's head above a pair of wings.

Hmm thats strange, but I know they are mistaken for a Cherub.

My definition is:
A form of angel mentioned several times in the Bible.

Cherubs are described as winged beings. The biblical prophet Ezekiel describes the cherubim as a tetrad of living creatures, each having four faces: of a lion, an ox, an eagle, and a man. They are said to have the stature and hands of a man, the feet of a calf, and four wings. Two of the wings extended upward, meeting above and sustaining the throne of God; while the other two stretched downward and covered the creatures themselves.

Cherubs are mentioned in the Hebrew Bible in the Torah (five books of Moses), the Book of Ezekiel, and the Book of Isaiah. In the Christian New Testament Cherubs are mentioned in the Book of Revelation.

The plural can be written as cherubim or cherubs. Because most English speakers are unfamiliar with Hebrew plural formation, the word cherubims is sometimes used as a plural, such as in the King James Bible

I know what you mean because I am Jewish and went to study in Israel for 2 years, so I have learned the language. :) It is pretty common for words to have different meanings in different countries. In America this is the proper name as seen in the dictionary definition. ^__^

Well I guess that is not for us to choose. I have learned many languages, and each one has its own quirks. ^^
