~Bluish Metal~

If you want to know how to made this, then read ahead. Below I commented on each part of it: music composing, character animation, and AS3 programming. If not, then thanks for coming by! ^__^

I have spent the last 4 days making this music in the key of "C" at 85 bpm, with a classic 4 instruments setup (solo + rhythm guitars, drums, bass). It was supposed to be Blues, but I then turned on the metal pedals and it became this "blueish-metal" kinda thing. It's a complicated solo, going slow and fast, and slow, and then ultra-fast. I think in the end there is still some Blues left in it. :)

I created this animation mainly because I had this new music to post - but then I realized the animation is a CPU-killer and might not play on slower computers. So I took the opportunity to try out making this my very 1st *hardware* accelerated Flash animation, but it will only work if you have a video card that supports GPU acceleration. Mine is a nVidia 8800GT and it plays using nearly zero CPU even in full screen. I then took it to a slower computer with an old video card and CPU usage went up to 80%, but still playable. Let me know if it drags in your computer. GPU acceleration is still a new thing to most of us. ^__^

The animation was made in DAZ Studio using the AniMate plugin, and then exported to mocap file, imported into Poser, applied to V4 and edited/rendered there, I rendered with *very* low quality (no AA) so I didn't have to wait the whole day for it to finish. :)

When the music was composed and equalized, and when the animation was finally finished, I put it all together with ActionScript3 programming in Flash CS4. I modified my personal music player a bit for some different looks. That's when I noticed the animation was not looping well and I had to do it all over again. You might notice her feet slide a bit at the beginning and end of the animation, but that can't be helped because she doesn't start and end at the same place. ^^

Figure is V4, music my me. Hope you like it and thanks for coming by!
