~Dream of a Japanese Pixie~

I know this looks odd, but check this out - last night I had this weird dream of a cute Japanese pixie in black dress opening her arms, and then arcs came out of them like waves of a music. She was smiling like if I knew what she was doing, and I woke up with this music segment "A7sus A7 F2 G2" playing in my head. I added 4 more bars and it became:

key=C
beat=104BPM
=================
A7sus A7 F2 G2
Am G D9/F# F7 G7
=================

I got my guitar and started playing this and then 8 more bars came out:

=================
C Bb F Bb Am9 Am
F2 G2 A7 Dm
=================

And then those 16 bars became the "Dream of a Japanese Pixie"! I added a metal pedal to the guitar to make this more like a rock ballad on The Eagles style. First music I ever made when sleeping - weird, eh? LOL :XD: It's a simple tune but I couldn't get it out of my head, so I had to make it a deviation to let it get out. If you have a guitar, play it out - it's catchy! ^^

Figure is V4. Original music and AS3 programming by me. Hope you like it and thanks for coming by!

Cool merge of two art forms! I'd love to see you do a render of my Asia character. in an "Appleseed Exmachina" version.

I prefer to keep things all in one place, for it has been hard enough managing one gallery alone. ^^

XD I know what you mean! I just thought it would be a pain in the ass to program another flash for every piece of music you wrote! :)

I know what you mean, and let's add to it that most people at dA just take original music for granted, often ignoring it completely. But I enjoy creating multimedia deviations nonetheless, where I can put web programming, music composing, and 3D art all together into a single deviation. It's part of the fun and I am happy dA actually supports it. ^___^

Hmmm.... I figured they should have a separate category for music, but then I thought about the things I have seen on UG... XD Anyway, I know what you are saying, but I don't have access to any multimedia tools to create Shockwave flash with. I can easily create .flv files, but not .swf
Have you ever tried to create a flash music video?

dA will never have a music category because posting "music" violates it's TOS. And yes, I have posted *many* music videos, where this [link] was the first one. ^^

I like the render.
She is very kawaii!
And the music is pretty cool, too.
Not quite Axe Grinder quality, but smooth and mellow, which is always good.
I could have gone without the organ in the background, though…

Thanks! This is a pic + music + AS3 programming deviation, so if you don't like one there is always a chance you will like some of the others. :)

This is absolutely fantastic!
Ever since I started paying attention to your implementation of 3D renderings, music and visualised sound spectrum, I imagined you gradually evolving the idea towards pieces like this :D
The sound waves dancing like electricity between the beautiful pixie's hands is simply awesome in every way, and I would LOVE to talk to you more about perhaps collaborating with me on a similarly-conceptualised piece; your work has inspired a direction I'd like to take the future of the Staceytron Universe :love:

Please feel free to note me if you're at all interested :) If not, I understand!

What if a musician from another dimension (who looks like a Japanese pixie) taught me that music when I was sleeping? Now that would be odd enough... :XD:
