Portraits are not my normal stuff, but that was today's challenge: make a woman look sexy showing only her head!
Tina is a blue-eyed brunette based on an unrevealed person I know. I think her slightly asymmetric face makes her look more natural (I don't like symmetry!). Those could be the blue eyes Elton John was talking about!
If you care to look in full-size, you will see all the small details I added to the skin shader, like speckles, moisture, and volume (bump). I personally think her curvy eye shapes, pale skin, and full lips are quite sensuous, and they get emphasized by her long messy black hair.
For the lighting I opted for something very basic: no fancy IBL, HDRI, AO, or raytracing. Instead, this is the traditional photographer setup with 3 lights: key, flood and backlight. The key light here also doubles as the specular light with soft mapped shadows instead of raytracing. Feels like going back to the basics, but it did the trick for this portrait.
Don't ask me about the huge chain necklace. The real Tina likes it and I will not argue with fashion - not with a woman. LOL
Figure is A4. Hope you like it and thanks for coming by!
Yes, I do use 3DSMax at Uni, why do you ask?
