~Summer Sunset~

Warm tropical islands can be both quiet and relaxing, as well as a bit surprising at times. It's hot and sunny around the year, with some occasional tropical storms. Sitting at the beach to enjoy the warm salty water during sunset can be quite an experience. ^_^

This is my "Summer" entry for the "Seasons of 3D" constest!

Thank you! I think you might be the 1st one to notice the WWII German fighter plane buried there in the background sands almost 2 years after I posted the pic. There is also a shark if you look close.

Yep that one happens to be one of my favourite fighters of WWII .. How come you put it there? I'm just curious. What's the idea/concept behind it, or is it just random? Did you model the plane yourself too?

The reason I used a German antique plane in the scene was because Japan and Germany were allies during WWII and still to this very date Japan is quite influenced by Germany. In other words, Anime quite often has heavy dosages of German culture and language embedded into the story and visuals, even when most people won't really notice it. The plane was to symbolize that influence in a rather unusual way. I saw this shot down plane in the middle of the streets in Paris (France), where they made it something like a WWII trophy or monument, preserving it exactly where it fell back in the war time (it's along story). ^^

It's amazing. I really like the reflections in the water, their expressions, and the wrecked plane in the back adds a nice touch.
